It all started with the… The colors red and purple The base set brought significant and enduring changes to the hobby. A notable difference now is that the card borders are silver, similar to the Japanese versions. Additionally, each card pack guarantees at least one holo-rare and two reverse holos. The primary feature of this era is the lowercase ex, showcasing a dual holographic design with a horizontal gleam and starry effect. Full Art ex cards now have a green, foil border around the Pokémon.
